We invite you to join us for the release of our Interim Report on January 23, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Newseum in Washington, DC. The event will feature a conversation on how service can create a stronger America and strengthen our communities, civil society, and Americans’ sense of citizenship. We will also discuss what we learned in our first year.
After a nationwide listening tour across the nine census divisions, combined with meetings with experts, government organizations, and comprehensive research, the Commission’s report outlines what the Commission has heard, some of the challenges faced by the Selective Service System, and what it would mean to create a universal expectation of service. The report also provides a snapshot of the policy options the Commission is considering in order to increase participation in military, national and public service.
The event will take place at the Newseum in Washington, DC. In-person space is limited; please register early. To RSVP, please visit . Further details will be provided upon RSVP.
