WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service announced it will release its final report, Inspired to Serve, on March 25, 2020.

“Inspired to Serve is the culmination of two and a half years of extensive research, a nationwide listening tour, public hearings, and conversations with Americans across the country,” said Chairman Joe Heck. “My fellow commissioners and I look forward to sharing our work with the Congress, the President, and the American public.”

The Final Report can be found here on March 25, 2020.

The Commission’s final report will include policy recommendations and legislative proposals regarding the selective service process and ways to increase participation in military, national, and public service. In conjunction with the release of the final report, the Commission will be hosting an event on March 26, 2020. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Congress tasked the 11-member bipartisan commission for the first time in American history, with comprehensively and holistically reviewing the Selective Service System, along with military, national, and public service. In 2019, the Commission released an Interim Report, sharing what it learned throughout its first year, giving a glimpse of the policy options considered. The Commission also hosted fourteen public hearings and released eight staff memos.

The Commission invites the public to continue to engage with them by following them on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
